Oneplus Watch launched with 14 days of battery life. See other features
OnePlus has finally launched the much-talked-about watch and it is the first smartwatch from the company. It has made its global debut along with the OnePlus 9 series and the OnePlus 9R smartphones.
Although the first smartwatch, the OnePlus watch is not the first wearable from the brand. The OnePlus band was the first wearable product. The watch comes in two variants — the Classic Edition and the Cobalt Limited Edition.
The watch has the typical design of the Wear OS smartwatches. It, however, does not have the OS and instead comes with the brand’s own operating system. The dial is 46mm that has a 1.39-inch display with a 454×454 pixel resolution. The watch also has a 2.5D glass and a 326 PPI density.
The Cobalt Limited Edition comes with sapphire glass which offers better protection against wear and tear from daily use as well as gives the watch a more premium look.
One of the two buttons on the right side of the watch has the OnePlus logo embossed on it. There are no buttons on the left. The watch also has a regular watch strap mount, which means that any sort of 20mm/22mm strap can be used on it.
The storage or RAM of the watch has not been revealed by OnePlus yet. The type of processor that runs is also unknown as of now. It however did claim that the watch can hold 500 songs.
The smartwatch contains a 402mAh battery, which, as OnePlus confirmed can run for a good 14 days at a stretch. It is also said that the watch can run for at least 25 hours non-stop with workout tracking GPS. This will be a huge game-changer in a world where every smartwatch hardly lasts for a day
The Warp charge smart charging system can give the watch a battery life of a week within 20 minutes. The OnePlus smartwatch is water and dust resistant as certified by IP68. The OnePlus smartwatch has an optical heart-rate sensor when it comes to health consciousness for the user.
The SpO2 sensor can track a total of 110 workout modes, both indoor and outdoor, stress tracking, and sleep tracking. The ECG functionality is not present. Among other features, the smartwatch has a gyroscope sensor, an accelerometer, an air pressure sensor, and a GPS. Ultimately, it has a microphone and a speaker so that the user can take calls on.
The price of the Classic Edition of the OnePlus smartwatch in India is Rs 16,999 ($230). It can, however, be taken for Rs 14,999 in April.
The Cobalt Limited Edition’s price has not been announced yet.
The availability details are also not revealed but expectations are that the watch might be available exclusively in OnePlus’s official online store and Amazon India.
